As winter comes to an end, the City of 尹人直播 is reminding residents to start preparing their properties for the upcoming bushfire season.
City of 尹人直播 Mayor Jerry Clune emphasised the importance of early action in order to keep the community safe.
“Following the abundance of rainfall this winter there has been considerable vegetation growth and we must take proactive steps to prevent property damage and save lives,” he said.
“As a community, we need to work together, plan ahead and acting swiftly to changing weather conditions.
“The Annual Firebreak Notice outlines the specific fire safety precautions property owners must take depending on the size of their property.
“Please make sure you understand what you need to do to be compliant, and if you are going to use a local contractor – this is your reminder to contact them now and have the work completed before the deadline,” Mayor Clune added.
The deadline to have properties prepared is Saturday 4 October 2025 and firebreak measures must be maintained until Friday 1 May 2026.
Following the Saturday 4 October deadline, firebreak inspections will begin and property owners who have not completed the necessary works and are deemed non-compliant could be fined $250.
