He advised that the project is at the modelling stage. The quality of the water taken from the bores is of good quality overall. He suggested that Council apply to connect to the water east of the Mullewa Bowling Club for use. The tests have shown that the water table is high and suggested methods of reducing the problem: Pumping the water and using it to water parks/gardens Revegetate bare areas of land. The modelling reports will be available to Council by mid-2001. It has been established that within the townsite, the area most at risk is the Central Business District. The Shire President thanked Mr Speed for his address. The Chief Executive Officer consulted with the President of the Yamatji Land & Sea Council, Mr Taffy Papertalk, who advised not to sign the Consent Agreement at this time. Council agreed with Mr Papertalks suggestion. The Chief Executive Officer is to continue to liaise with Mr Papertalk and is authorised to sign the Consent Agreement subject to them being satisfied that such signing is in the best interests of the residents of this Municipality.  TC "GERALDTON GUARDIAN RADIO TRANSMISSION" \f C \l "1" GERALDTON GUARDIAN RADIO TRANSMISSION The Chief Executive Officer advised that correspondence had been received from the Geraldton Guardian advising that in the near future FM radio broadcast in the AM mode will be generally available throughout the North Midlands. Installation of a radio transmitter and all operating costs will be borne by the proponent with no contribution required from local government.  TC "MULLEWA FOOTBALL CLUB FINANCIAL SUPPORT" \f C \l "1" MULLEWA FOOTBALL CLUB FINANCIAL SUPPORT The Chief Executive Officer advised that correspondence had been received from the Mullewa Football Club requesting the following: To waive the ground fees for 2000 and 2001 seasons, and Financial support of $10,000.00. The Chief Executive Officer is to request that the Football Club advise Council of its anticipated outcomes and future direction. At this time the Council has insufficient information in which to be able to make a decision. It will not assist the Mullewa Football Club until such time as the Club is able to provide information as to its long term future including supporting documentation as to financial viability, membership and direction. The Chief Executive Officer was requested to seek further information from the Club. Councillors have been invited to attend the Mullewa Football Clubs next meeting.
