CARRIED 9/0 TC "GENERAL BUSINESS:" \f C \l "1" GENERAL BUSINESS: TC "WOOLGORONG ROAD SUPPLY OF MOTOR TRAFFIC PASSES AND CONDITION OF" \f C \l "1" WOOLGORONG ROAD SUPPLY OF MOTOR TRAFFIC PASSES AND CONDITION OF Councillor Doherty advised that he had been contacted by Mr Tim Officer of Woolgorong Station with respect to Minute No. W9911.03 (Supply of Motor Traffic Passes) and the general condition of the Stations public roads. He advised that he would accompany the Works Supervisor and meet with Mr Officer on site at a convenient time. TC "HOLMES ROAD ACCESS FOR PIPELINE" \f C \l "1" HOLMES ROAD ACCESS FOR PIPELINE Councillor Freeman advised that Mr Jeff Kowald had contacted him requesting that he be permitted to run a water pipeline within the road reserve on the south side of Holmes Road. A previous verbal communication to Mr Kowald from Councillor F Newman, after consultation with the Chief Executive Officer, had suggested that an easement within private property would be the most appropriate way to proceed. It appears however, that there is some difficulty in routing the pipeline off the road reserve and that Mr Kowald would like to position it on Holmes Road along its entire length from Erangy Spring Road to Moore Road. The Chief Executive Officer was directed to write to Mr Kowald and ask him to provide a map and a specific request of what he may require from Council. TC "GERALDTON-MOUNT MAGNET ROAD CONDITION OF" \f C \l "1" GERALDTON-MOUNT MAGNET ROAD CONDITION OF Councillor Freeman expressed further concern at the poor tracking of some heavy vehicle combinations on the Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road. He noted that whilst remedial action had been undertaken by Main Roads WA to ensure compliance by heavy vehicle operators, he was not personally convinced that the problem had been entirely rectified. He suggested that Councillors needed to examine the rubber marks on that section of the road west of Mullewa to make their own determination as to whether or not the tracking of such combinations had improved. The Chief Executive Officer advised that definitive evidence would need to be produced supporting any further concerns on this matter. He undertook to ensure that digital camera photographs are made to see if this will provide sufficient evidence for presentation to Main Roads WA. TC "MULLEWA SWIMMING POOL OPERATION OF" \f C \l "1" MULLEWA SWIMMING POOL OPERATION OF Councillor Wainwright asked that appreciation be extended to Mr Michael Wall in his capacity as Manager of the Mullewa Swimming Pool. She noted that since commencing operation in November 1999 the dedication and commitment of Mr Wall has ensured a very clean and manageable facility. The Chief Executive Officer was directed to extend Councils appreciation to Mr Wall. NEXT MEETING: The next ordinary meeting of Council will be held on Wednesday 19 April 2000 at 2:00pm.
